Project Description
In 2018 the Alliance announced to partner with Google to develop and use Android Automotive OS for their next generations of IVI systems, starting with releases in 2021.
From the beginning it was clear that this large scale project would require collaboration of many different teams spread across the whole organization. It includes multiple design, product, development and testing teams across several companies.
We worked closely with the brand design teams on Alliance side as well as directly with Google's feature design teams.
In the scope of my team we focused on identifying and further on improving the key components for an ease-of-use experience. This included conceptual work on the overall home screen of the system and also on the connected user management, enabling users to have seamless experiences across all their devices, with the car just an additional interface to the user's personal experience environment.
This project is currently ongoing.
